RE: Invitation to Employers to Submit Tax & Non -Tax Reform Proposals
The subject above refers.
In pursuit of a conducive business environment and investment climate for employers, the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) is hereby inviting tax and non-tax policy reform proposals from our esteemed members for internal technical analysis and submission to the Ministry of Finance and Planning (MoFP) to influence the 2022 Finance Act.
These may include proposed changes in the tax laws (e.g., VAT, Excise, income tax, import duty, etc) or requests to remove or reduce fees, charges, and levies imposed by government agencies, local government, etc.
Kindly, take note that your submission should adhere to the following format.
- Existing challenges and effects on your business/ investments;
- Proposed remedy/ solution and its associated benefits to your business/investment and government revenue; and
- Proposed short-term remedy to government loss of revenue in case the government adopts the proposed recommendations.
