Tuesday 12th April 2022, the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) officially launched the Employer of the Year Award (EYA) 2022. Speaking at a press conference at the ATE Offices in Dar es Salaam, the Executive Director & CEO of ATE Ms. Suzanne Ndomba-Doran said that the main objective of this award is to identify and reward employers with the best foundations for manpower and human resources management as well as to recognize employers who do business in accordance with the rules and regulations (Responsible Business).
She added that due to the covid-19 pandemic ATE did not organize EYA 2019 & 2020 but used that opportunity to carry out a major review of the entire EYA process of awarding the best employers based on the current business environment.
This year there will be 14 criteria awards from the previous 27 criteria and 4 are new, which are: Managing during crisis, Gender equality and equity, Compliance with regulatory requirements, Climate change/Environmental management.
Employers are asked to come out in large numbers to take part in this important process of finding the best employer for the year 2022 who will officially be announced at the major awards ceremony in early December 2022.
