ATE/IOE/2023 6th November 2023
To our esteemed Members and Stakeholders,
RE: Important update for the 7th African Social Partners’ Summit
The Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) is honored to inform our Members and Stakeholders that with a joint collaboration with the International Organisation of Employers (IOE), with support of the European Union (EU) and Business Africa will be hosting the 7th African Social Partners’ Summit, that will take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on 7th – 8th February 2024, at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC).
The African Social Partners’ (ASP) Summit, under the stewardship of Employers, serves as a platform where key Stakeholders from diverse sectors converge to monitor progress and challenges on job creation across the African continent. Through the years, ASP Summits have produced a range of multi-stakeholder guidance, documents and materials to orient and facilitate the work of stakeholders to build skills and create employment across Africa (2015-Casablanca, 2016- Tunis, 2017-Algiers, 2018-Abidjan, 2020-Lagos).
This 2024 Summit will review current national progress on employment creation, specify priorities by country, provide best practice examples, identify effective strategies that promote inclusive growth, sustainable development, and resilience in a post-pandemic era, liaise with different agencies to provide updated information and resources for MSMEs about how different policies and implementation plans will affect or improve ways of working.
About 50 Countries will participate in this Summit and delegates will include companies, Employers’ and Business Organisations, Trade Unions, Academia, International Organisations, Youth Representatives, Regional Organisations.
Kindly Save the Date as ATE is looking forward to your active participation. More information will be shared in due course.
Yours Sincerely,
ASSOCIATION OF TANZANIA EMPLOYERS
