ATE & IFC held Ajira Sawa CEO’s discussion

The Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) as the co-Partner in implementing the Ajira Sawa Program together with the International Finance Cooperation (IFC), participated at the Ajira Sawa CEO’s discussion that was held earlier today, 7th September 2023 at Johari Rotana, Dar es Salaam .

ATE Chairperson, Mr. Oscar Mgaya commenting on the Program, stated that the program has come at the right time where gender equality has been proved to help companies in becoming successful, profit making and sustainable.

He added that, ATE has been working with Employers, Stakeholders and Partners in different initiatives that are designed to achieve gender equality in the world of work mentioning the Female Future Programme which is coordinated by ATE, and has been instrumental in achieving gender equality at workplace. 

During this session, Employers had  an opportunity to share their experiences and practices in achieving gender equality in their workplaces .

Ajira Sawa Project is a two-and-a-half-year program implemented by  IFC in partnership with ATE with an objective  to reduce gender gaps across employment, leadership, and entrepreneurship.The program involves companies from the Agribusiness, Manufacturing, Tourism, Financial Services, Mining, and Oil and Gas Sector. 

The session was attended by Employers from Private Sector and pledged  their participation to the program.
