RE: POSTPONEMENT OF MARCH & APRIL PUBLIC TRAINING PROGRAMMES DUE TO THE IMPACT OF COVID-19
In light of growing concerns around the Coronavirus (COVID-19), The Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) has taken the decision to postpone March and April Public Training programmes as per the Annual training schedule until further notice.
The postponement will affect the following programmes:
Overall Understanding of Public Service Act and Its Disciplinary Procedures (25th – 27th March 2020 at Morogoro)
Global Mindset and Culture Effectiveness (26th March 2020 at Dar es Salaam)
Local Content & Law of Non-Citizen (16th April 2020 at Mwanza)
Managing Poor Performance and Performance Development (23rd April 2020 at Dar es Salaam
We have come to this decision as there have been reported cases of infection of COVID-19 in Tanzania. As a result, the Government has issued a number of directives including to reduce contact between people in our communities for a period and specific recommendations on public health awareness.
The Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE) encourages its members as employers to ensure the safety, health and welfare of their employees. Furthermore, employers should carry out a risk assessment to identify the risks of a coronavirus outbreak at work, and implement steps to minimise that risk.
While we regret to take this decision, individual health is very important to all of us. We highly recommend all of you to follow the measures recommended by the Government in relation to coronavirus.
We kindly ask for your understanding, and wholeheartedly apologise for the inconveniences the postponements will cause.
