On 14-15 Oct 2017 The Association of Tanzania Employers participated in the International TVET Youth Forum held in Abu Dhabi as the part of the World Skills competition which is a Greatest Competition of Skills in the world. The international Youth forum attended by 300 Young Professionals with different Skills from 70 countries aged 17-32.
In the two days forum , Youths with their supervisors discussed and shared the Selected Specific Global challenges on the future of Skills including what to be done in order to make TVET more diverse and inclusive.
The world Skills Competition occurs every two years and is the biggest Vocational Education and skills excellence event in the world that truly reflects global industry. The Competitors represent the best of their peers and are selected from skills competitions in World Skills Member countries and regions.
They demonstrate technical abilities both individually and collectively to execute specific tasks for which they study and/or perform in their workplace. One of the main legacies of the World Skills Competitions is to give visibility and importance to professional education, as one of the true tools of socioeconomic transformation.
The competition also provides leaders in industry, government and education with the opportunity to exchange information and best practices regarding Industry and Professional education.
