Skills Development Levy (SDL) reduced to 4.5 per cent

The government has proposed reduction of Skills Development Levy (SDL) from 5% to 4.5%.
This comes as a result of the concerted efforts by ATE to see the levy reduced to two percent which could largely help to lessen the cost of doing business for creation of more jobs in the country.
“For many years ATE has been urging the government to reduce the SDL charges from five to two per cent as it increases the cost of doing business,” reports the Citizen. For more information, read the attached news article.
